San Diego Unified School District Named One of Most Improved Districts in America as Finalist for 2013 Broad Prize for Urban Education - ScoopSanDiego.com | Mission Times Courier: Community News: The San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) was named a finalist for the 2013 Broad Prize for Urban Education, The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation announced today. As one of four districts in the country to be recognized for student achievement gains, SDUSD stands to win at least $150,000 and as much as $550,000 in college scholarships for its high school seniors if the district wins the top prize.
